Review
Seemingly unrelated groups of characters from the 1930s are linked together in a horrifically bloody event that puzzles newspaper writers, as each of their stories are told in a “Pulp Fiction” sort of way. As the story unfolds, mafia speakeasies, immortal alchemists and other crazy characters come to light.
The story may be hard to follow at first, but after you’ve met all the key characters, things really go full throttle with this story. Each character is unique and colorful and I was even surprised at how much I loved the bubbly characters that linked them all together. I thought I’d hate their aggressively outgoing personality, but they nearly put me to tears at the end with all their actions. A great series with lots of mystery, psychotic people and blood. Did I mention the blood? 0__o
