I felt that the first version of Fullmetal went astray after the first half of the series. I’ll admit that this version of Fullmetal requires that you’ve seen the first series – only because the pacing is extremely fast for the first 15 or so episodes. This may have been done purposely to avoid boring the majority that have seen it. Unlike the first version, the ending wraps up nicely and there is a sense of closure. Besides new characters and plotlines, viewers of the first series have a lot more action and comedy to look forward as well. I found this second series to be a lot funnier and a lot more epic. Want to know what REALLY happened after Hughes died? Watch this series, after seeing the first version. Definitely one of the best anime/manga series ever made.
