Not the greatest anime in the world. Kind of one dimensional with a good plot at hand, but not successfully executed. Lacks “umph” or something.
The series is about a phenomenon that causes the birth of Alter Users, who each have special powers. They are discriminated against, feared, and hated, unless they join this government organization called HOLY.
You can guess where it goes from there. What I never understood was why Kazuma and Ryuhou felt they needed to fight each other. The reason to the rivalry was rather weak and feeds on the male pride I guess. I must not understand that much about it or something… “Grr… You made me look like an ass. Now I will rip your head open…” @_@ ??????? (Not actual dialogue of course…)
