Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed “mad scientist” and with the help of his friend Itaru Hashida, inadvertently creates a time machine that can send text messages into the past. After discovering the body of a murder victim, Okabe sets off a chain of events that leads to disaster of epic proportions. In order to save his friends Okabe attempts to undo all the changes over and over again, to avoid a catastrophic future.
Like all time travel related stories, this one has its flaws. However there are some sparks of interesting concepts sprinkled all around and the characters are people you root for. A very enjoyable series, although for me it dragged a bit at times. This could have been a clean 13-15 episode series, but felt stretched a bit to fit the 24.
